The allotment of quotas varies from year to year according to different stock viability. The quotas are set annually, and specify which countries are able fish which quantities. As one of the key players in this market, Norway Pelagic’s focus is on catching enough fish to satisfy its markets. Norway Pelagic does however, strongly support efforts to maintain pelagic fish as a renewable resource, and therefore restricts production to the assigned quotas.
